It's that time of year again! Autogeek's 5th Annual Detail Fest is coming
up on March 27-28, 2010.
We like to celebrate the arrival of Spring in our own unique way here at
Autogeek: by hosting a detailing expo and car show! Every year since 2006 we've
hosted a gathering of leading manufacturers, enthusiasts and, of course, their
cars for a day of education, detailing, and fun.
 Detail Fest 2010 is being held on March 27-28 at our Stuart, Florida
headquarters. There's no better way to
get your vehicle ready for Spring than to learn from the pros and from fellow hobbyists
about the latest techniques and products. Meet your favorite manufacturers and
see their products in action. Detail Fest is also a great opportunity to meet
fellow forum members face to face and see their handiwork up close.
Detail Fest is open to anyone wanting to walk around and check out the products and demos. It is also open to those who would like to bring their car inside Detailers' Row to either try products out or display their vehicle.
Computers will be available to place orders on site!

Detail Fest Schedule:
On Saturday, Detail Fest is from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. but a washing station will be available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. for anyone needing to bathe their vehicle. You'll be able to talk face to face with vendors all day, view demonstrations, and Max will personally be giving tours of the Autogeek facility. Mike Phillips' detailing classes will be at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. (see more info below). Registered guests will receive their goody bags and shirts. For those staying at the Courtyard by Marriott next to Autogeek, we will be having a social on Saturday night from 7 - 10 p.m. with a cash bar.
On Sunday, Detail Fest continues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday is open to the public, free of charge. The day starts off with Cars and Coffee from 9-10 a.m. The rest of the day will be filled with hands-on training with the vendors. You'll be able to "try it before you buy it". There is no charge to use the vendor's products. Plus, Mike Phillips will be hosting Open Garage. Pull your vehicle in to our garage and get tips from the expert. Special guests from Cyclo, Flex, Metro Vac and more will be in the garage to offer their expertise! |
We will have Ding Inc. on hand showing us their skills of removing dent, ding, creases, and hail damage! Dent Inc is located in Florida on the west coast but they do travel! Kevin and Kari Byrd of Ding Professional Dent Repair were at the show last year showing off their skills on the dents!
Autogeek Show ‘N Shine Car Show
Registration is $20 to participate in the car show and park along “Detailers' Row” by all the action. This fee includes:
- A reserved parking space
- Goody bag valued at a minimum of $50
- Official Detail Fest 2010 T-shirt
- Participation in the raffle for three $100 Autogeek Gift Certificates. The winner will be announced at 2 p.m.
- Enrollment in Mike Phillips’ 9 a.m. detailing class

Detail Fest is free to attend if you do not wish to receive the above amenities and you will not be showing a vehicle. Extra T-shirts will be available for purchase.
Classes
Director of Training Mike Phillips will be teaching a hands-on machine detailing course on Saturday, March 27 at two times: 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The class is a must-attend if you’re interested in sanding and polishing by machine.
Both classes will go over using the correct technique for the following polishers and then the students will be encouraged to test out the polishers during the hands-on portion of the class.

The basics of machine sanding will be demonstrated with the Meguiar’s Professional Unigrit Machine Sanding and Finishing System.
If you have registered for Detail Fest by paying the $20 fee, you are already enrolled in the 9 a.m. class. There is no need to re-register and there is no additional charge. For anyone not showing a car, there is no charge to attend a class but we do need you to register for one of the available times.
